Malta Blockchain Conference
CrownTech Ltd flew to Malta last week to attend Smile Expo’s Blockchain conference. This was held at the impressive Intercontinental hotel in St Julians, Malta.
The doors opened to exhibitors at 08:00 AM and we were set up and ready to go within an hour. The first attendees started to make their way in around 09:30. This gave us the opportunity to meet a few of the guests before the first of the speeches began at 10:00.
The event ran through until 6:30 PM with guest speakers every half hour or so throughout the day. We estimated 400 plus attendees. The three of us were speaking continually with a steady flow of visitors to the stand that, only subsided when a guest speaker was presenting.
The entry price to the event was 400EUR. The attendees were primarily business / company delegates. We even had the pleasure of talks with government representatives. Malta is embracing blockchain tech and is keen to attract new businesses to incorporate from there. The upcoming Crown API is attractive to businesses who want to build their project utilizing blockchain technology.
Joe Connors, Crown’s Head of Communications, took to the floor at midday to give the Crown presentation to an almost full house. Joe only had 5 minutes of floor time to present and did a great job, concisely explaining the current project status and a general overview of what we have in store for 2018
The interest in the Crown stand was high. We had multiple visits from attendees who had heard the presentation and were keen to ask questions and hear more about the project. We came away with plenty of business cards to open further talks and have a list of very promising potential companies who could be part of the first wave of businesses operating on the Crown blockchain using our upcoming API.
